The Role of PP2A A Subunits in Tumor Suppression.

PP2A has been shown to be genetically altered or functionally inactivated in many solid cancers and leukemia's, and is therefore a tumor suppressor.

Aberrant expression, mutations and somatic alterations of the PP2A scaffold and regulatory subunits have been observed in various human malignancies, including lung, breast, skin and colon cancer, highlighting its role as a ‘tumor suppressor’.

Emerging studies have correlated changes in PP2A with human diseases, especially cancer.

PP2a regulates many, if not most, aspects of cellular activities and is a critical tumor suppressor.
